Hot Feed Extruders (HFE)
RMS standard range of Hot Feed Extruders is available for 120 - 250mm (4½ – 10”) screw diameters.
Others sizes can be provided upon request.
Key features:
- Specially designed high intake hopper to provide improved feeding (with or without feed rollers)
- Leak-free feed roll arrangement incorporating bearings positioned away from the pressure area, as well as stock guides and scraper blade. Design incorporates many unique features for ease of maintenance
- Replaceable hardened liners in the barrel
- Temperature profiling via heating and cooling passages in hopper, barrel and screw
- L/D Ratio typically 4.0:1 or 4.5:1
